The challenge
The roof had to meet the existing house line cleanly and still leave the deck open enough to feel like a room rather than a corridor.
How we built it
Posts were set at the deck edge so the span stays open, the roof ties into the existing roofline, and the deck steps down to the yard on two sides so the space feels connected to the yard.
Scope of work
- Covered patio structure tied into the house
- Composite deck with a wraparound step
- Built-in benches with mitered caps
- Picture-frame deck borders
- Ceiling fans and string lighting in place
Materials
- Composite decking with picture-frame borders
- Stained posts and beams
- Structural fasteners
From the homeowner
“We recently had our covered patio built by Wingspan Build, and we couldn’t be happier with the results! From start to finish, the team was professional, communicative, and incredibly skilled. They took our vision and brought it to life with great attention to detail, top-quality materials, and craftsmanship that exceeded our expectations. The finished patio is not just functional but truly beautiful—it’s now our favorite space to relax and entertain.”
